Vendored C++ robots.txt matcher — provenance
=============================================

The files in `src/` named below are a copied, SHA-pinned snapshot of the
faithful Google robots.txt matcher. They are NOT downloaded or fetched at
configure, build, test, or install time; they are vendored source.

Vendored files (copied verbatim from the immediate source below, a modified
derivative of Google's upstream; Apache-2.0, Google LLC notice on each file):
  src/robots.cc
  src/robots.h
  src/reporting_robots.cc
  src/reporting_robots.h

Immediate source (the de-Abseiled, standard-library-only C++ replica):
  Repository:     https://gitlab.com/bart-turczynski/robotstxt-cpp
                  (private; the pinned commit is the durable identifier)
  Pinned commit:  1cb8b047d81dfa0e9c1a1549b269fb5f196756c9

Underlying upstream baseline (the pristine Google matcher the replica mirrors):
  Repository:     https://github.com/google/robotstxt
  Pinned commit:  22b355ff855419e6a3ff8ff09c0ad7fdb17116f9

The replica removes Abseil and all production dependencies outside the C++
standard library while preserving byte-level matcher behavior, namespace
(`googlebot`), class/function names, and file organization. See the replica
repository's own PROVENANCE.md and NOTICE for the full change manifest, license
set, and the offline-verifiable sync procedure.

Licensing: the vendored files remain under the Apache License 2.0 with Google's
copyright notices intact. inst/COPYRIGHTS summarizes the copyright and license
of every bundled component; inst/NOTICE is the notice for these files.

Not vendored: `matcher_binding.cpp` in `src/` is this package's own cpp11 glue
and is not part of the upstream snapshot.
